Searching your Shopify admin

TheSearchbox at the top of the Shopify admin enables you to search for orders, products, or customers, in addition to apps and sales channels. Search results might also include gift cards, discount codes, features, or resources such as blogs or informational videos. You can limit your search results so that they only include orders, products, or customers by clickingInclude, and then clickonly products,only orders, oronly customers. Searches can't be saved.

Search queries

You can search more efficiently and effectively by using a search query, which is a way of limiting your search results.

Examples of search queries

Example 1: Search for unfulfilled orders

To show orders that are unfulfilled but not fully or partially refunded, you can limit the results to orders, and then search for:

fulfillment_status:unfulfilled AND NOT financial_status:refunded AND NOT financial_status:partially_refunded

Example 2: Search for a product tag

To show products tagged withnew, you can limit the results to products, and then search for:

tag:new

However, if the word in your product tag is used in other tags, for exampleNew Zealand, then you need to exclude results for those other tags. Limit the results to products, and then search for:

tag:new AND NOT tag:"new zealand"

Example 3: Search for orders that used a discount code

To search for orders that used a specific discount code, limit the results to orders, and then search for:

discount_codes:code:YOURCODE

Make sure to replaceYOURCODEwith the discount code that you want to search for.
